Counterfeits, Shoplifting, and Parking 🚗🛍️💷

Thank you to everyone who came along to my Beat Surgery at New Parks Library on 9 February 🙌. A number of important issues were raised, including limited job opportunities for young people and the ongoing challenges around parking 🚘. I’m now exploring the possibility of linking my next Beat Surgery with the Job Centre to offer more support and guidance 🤝.

We’ve also seen new incidents of shoplifting. This is a criminal offence, and with CCTV becoming clearer and more effective 📹, we will identify and deal with those responsible. It’s also worth remembering that shoplifting affects the whole community, increasing prices for everyone as businesses try to recover their losses. If you know someone involved, please do the right thing and call 101 📞.

We’ve also had reports of counterfeit £20 notes circulating. Fake notes cause the same financial impact on businesses and residents, so please take a moment to check your cash 💷. Local businesses are encouraged to use a note scanner to help spot counterfeits 🔍.
